Freebrough Academy, specialising in Business, Enterprise and Engineering opened in Brotton, East Cleveland in September 2010. Our vision is to create an outstanding Academy at the heart of the community, providing learning opportunities that will motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

The Academy has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and ambitious professional to join this exciting venture in the following role. All posts are required to start in September 2014, or sooner.

Teacher of Maths/Strategy Leader – (Teaching salary plus TLR2a £2,535)

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join our committed and motivated maths team to contribute in our journey to outstanding. This is a new post to the Academy.

Candidates should have knowledge and experience in teaching their subject area at both Key stage 3 and 4. The successful candidates will be ambitious, committed and passionate about the power of education to transform the lives of young people.

In addition the successful candidate will have a specific responsibility for developing and coordinating the strategy for students who enter the academy below level 4 in maths to ensure they make accelerated progress across the faculty in their first year at secondary school. There may also be the possibility of teaching in our Post 16 provision.

A recruitment & retention payment of £1000 will be paid after 12 months and 24 months service (subject to usual deductions).
