NOTES

  1. Finalized the Best Practices document as a non-normative document. The Best Practices document was approved by Rob Seliger, Andy Woyak, Jonathan Wu, Barry Royer, and Ping Zhang.
  1. Startedwork on a CCOW Test Cases document using a document submitted by Sentillion as the starting point. The legal notice granted HL7 the necessary permission as included in the CCOW Test Cases document was approved by Rob Seliger, Andy Woyak, Jonathan Wu, Barry Royer, and Ping Zhang.

ACTION ITEMS:

  • Create introduction for document
  • Read document for accuracy
  • Align document with Best Practices
  1. Discussed CCOW support for SAML, facilitated by David Staggs. Proposed CCOW designs include:
  • Introduce SAML as a new context subject (Id = saml.id.token, value = base 64 encoded SAML token blob)
  • Introduce SAML as an additional identifier item for the User subject (Id = user.id.saml, value = base 64 encoded SAML token blob)
  • Introduce SAML as an annotation of the User subject (Id = user.an.saml, value = base 64 encoded SAML token blob)

  • Identify extent CCOW should specify the content of the SAML Token Blob in order to achieve interoperability – David Staggs
  1. Discussed protection profiles for CCOW Context Managers and CCOW Applications. The VHA introduced the following documents:
  2. CCOW Context Manager Protection Profile (draft updated)
  3. CCOW Application Protection Profile (draft updated)
  4. CCOW Application conformance Criteria

ACTION ITEMS:

  • Review documents that will be posted on the list server
  • Schedule conference call prior to next meeting
  • Schedule a joint meeting with the Security TC
  1. Discussed ways to promote advanced CCOW features. Proposals include:
  • View subject demo.
  • Advanced CCOW Tutorial that may include best practices, security, and advanced CCOW features.
  • Update Material on web site.

ACTION ITEMS:

  • Identify interest in demo within CCOW application vendors and context manager vendors.
  • Check into doing the demo in conjunction with IHE since HL7 no longer does demos at HIMSS.
  • Check into doing presentation in conjunction with HL7 – follow up with Karen Van.
  • Speak with Education Committee about scheduling an Advnaced CCOW course.
