Russound To Unveil Two New Russound Bluetooth Receivers

for Multiroom Systems at CEDIA ‘11

-- New Models Stream Content to Russound C-Series and A-BUS Multiroom Audio Systems --

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, September 6, 2011 - Russound, the #1 brand in multiroom audio, has announced two new additions to its C-Series and A-BUS lines of multiroom audio products and audio components. Each enables the system to receive streaming audio content from a Bluetooth enabled device and incorporate the wireless Bluetooth source into the Russound multiroom audio system.

The new Russound BTC-1 C-Series Bluetooth Receiver permits Bluetooth enabled devices to stream content to C-Series systems for wireless audio. It is a remotely located Bluetooth receiver, optimized for ideal placement and range by the custom installer. For maximum flexibility it can be configured as either a system source or a local source.

The new A-BUS Bluetooth receiver permits Bluetooth enabled devices to stream content to A-BUS keypads for wireless local source audio in any room.

“Our end-users often have all their favorite music already downloaded and organized on their smartphones and portable music players,” says Charlie Porritt, Russound’s CEO. “These new Bluetooth receivers now make it even easier to listen to that music throughout the home. Previously, you had to connect the mobile device to the system with a cable. Now, with Bluetooth it’s completely wireless.”

The BTC-1 integrates with Russound C-Series multizone systems. System components communicate with each other via the Russound RNET protocol, and components are interconnected using standard CAT-5 cable. The BTC-1 will ship in mid-December for $TK MAP.

The A-BUS Bluetooth receiver integrates with Russound A-BUS multiroom systems, which are also interconnected using standard CAT-5 cable. The A-BUS Bluetooth receiver streams content to the local A-BUS keypad, so it serves as a local source within the room whose audio that particular keypad controls. The A-BUS Bluetooth Receiver will ship late in Q3 for $TK MAP .
