(Advanced) Student Reform Movement Group Presentations End Product: In groups, students will discuss in depth the fight of one reform movement (Women’s Reform, Prison Reform, Temperance Movement, Education Reform, Religions Reform, or the Abolitionist Movement).Students will use a graphic organizer to plan a presentation and then use PowerPoint or poster boards to create a presentation that highlights the key figures, accomplishments, struggles, and impact of the reform movement using historical evidence and historical writing. The presentation must include a work-cited page with at least 3 sources.

(Non-Advanced) In groups, you must create a commercial for one of inventions of this area. You must present this product before the class. Your commercial must be at least three minutes long and everyone in your group must participate in the presentation. You must think aboutwhomyou are selling the product to and convince them to buy your product.

Journal Entries of a Factory Worker of your age: Must be at least four entries, each a minimum of five sentences. Must explain the type of factory, the work/task assigned to you, materials and machinery used, hours and days worked, breaks allowed, challenges and pay.

Political Cartoon: Create a political cartoon and written explanation of the cartoon must be at least three paragraphs (each paragraph has five sentences), of a reform movement covered during this era. Include: names and impact of leaders, political statements, and impact on Americans.

Editorial: Write an editorial for a newspaper (not an essay but a newspaper article written by or on behalf of an editor that gives an opinion on a topical issue). For this editorial, imagine you are a journalist attending the Seneca Falls Convention and write an editorial about the women’s rights movement and power of the convention. You may be for or against the women’s rights movements but must include reasons for your opinion. Must be at least three paragraphs (each paragraph has five sentences),

Lyric Analysis: Analyze the lyrics and historical content of the Erie Canal Song (look up on phone, IPAD, or computer). Use at least three paragraphs (each paragraph has five sentences) to analyze the song and evaluate the influence of canals, railroads, and turnpikes on Americans transportation system and infrastructure
