University of Pittsburgh at Bradford
Student Voice Mail
Welcome to the voice mail system at Pitt-Bradford. The system performs like an answering machine allowing you to retrieve, delete, or temporarily store calls that you receive. Your voice mail will answer after six rings.
The first time that you use the voice mail system you will need to record your name by pressing 5. The system will then give you instructions on how to do this. Your name will then be included in the welcome announcement that is played when an incoming call is taken. Also, you will need to record a personal outgoing message, which you will be prompted to do so by pressing 3.
How do I know that I have a message?
- An audible alert of three tones will be heard when you pick up your receiver if you have voice mail.
How do I retrieve my message?
- Call the voice mail system at 20999. You can access your voice mail from off campus by dialing 362-0999.
- You will be prompted for your extension. Enter you Voice Box Number, not your phone number. In some cases your Voice Box Number is the same as your phone number.
- Next, you will be prompted for a password. The first time you log in use the password retrieved from the website. You will also be prompted to change your password.
- The system will then tell you how many new messages you have received.
- Press 2 and you will be told information about the new message.
- Press 0 to listen to the new message.
- Press * D to delete the message you have just listened to (D is the 3 key on your phone). If you do not delete the message it will be moved to the old message area. It will be deleted automatically after ten days.
- If you have more than one message you will then be directed to the next message.
