Wellsville to hold a Free Main Street Music Festival
WELLSVILLE,NY- On June 12, 13 and 14 Wellsville is set to hold it’s first Main Street Music Festival. The festival will include 5 different venues & 2 outdoor stages with over 20 bands, 4 music workshops, strolling street musicians and a vintage / new guitar show. The cost for all of this is FREE!!! The Wellsville Main Street Music Festival will be kicking off the second weekend in June. This is a FREE family event and all are welcome to partake in the festivities. There will be two outdoor stages, the main stage will be on the David A. Howe Library Lawn and the second stage will be in the empty lot across the street from Pizza Hut. There will be 5 indoor venues including Better Day’s, the Wellsville Creative Arts Center, Beef Haus & L’Italia. There will also be a variety of music workshops, a Vintage / New Guitar show and strolling street performers.
The Festival starts on Thursday June 12th at 7pm with the FREE and popular “Music on the Lawn” summer music series on the David A. Howe Library lawn.
On Friday night (June 13th), both L’Italia and Beef Haus will feature live music in their dinning rooms from 6pm-8pm. The David A. Howe Library lawn will feature music from 7pm-9pm and the Wellsville Creative Arts Center and Better Day’s will have music from 9pm on.
Saturday, June 14th will feature a full day of events….The day kicks off with a Vintage / New Guitar show at the Wellsville Creative Arts Center from 11am – 3pm. All are welcome to bring their guitars or just come and view the works of art. After the guitar show the music will start on both the library lawn and stage two at 2pm and run until 10pm Saturday night. There will also be various free music workshops throughout the day featuring guitars (electric and acoustic), harmonicas and Djembe drumming. The Harmonica and Acoustic Guitar workshops are geared for kids while the Djembe and Electric are for all ages. Between 6pm and 8pm there will be live music at both the Beef Haus and L’Italia restaurants and starting at 9pm there will be music at Better Day’s and the Wellsville Creative Arts Center.
All of the participating venues will have no cover or door charge (yes, that means it is FREE).
