PROGRAM AND PROJECT SPECIALIST

Since 1988, Jewish Family Services of York (JFS) provides services to older adults, families, and caregivers, regardless of faith, to the greater York area.

Position Summary
The Program and Project Specialist is responsible for day-to-day operations of the organization and provides support to the Executive Director and Development Director. The candidate will execute superior organizational skills, with the ability to multi task and provide attention to detail in a fast-paced office. This part time (30 hours/week) position will be responsible for maintaining donor and program participant databases, assisting with fundraisers, coordinating meeting schedules, and ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

·  Provide overall office administration, act as first point of contact to agency through phone and door reception

·  Provide support for programs, projects, client services, fundraising, and special events.

·  Manage board and key service operations.

·  Coordinate volunteer schedules, oversee and train volunteers engaged in office projects.

·  Provide communications support through social media, e-news, and printed material

·  Provide IT Support, identify security, maintenance, and IT issues.

·  Coordinate event/project plans and provide assistance in meeting deadlines

·  Maintain and update program and agency databases: input and track information accurately.

Requirements:

·  Two years administration work experience, non profit setting a plus

·  Bachelor’s Degree Required (communications, marketing, business management preferred)

·  Experience in working with database systems required

·  Excellent computer skills required to include Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact or Mail Chimp, Publisher

·  Superior organizational skills, strategic thinking ability, and creative problem-solving

·  Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks appropriately

·  Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with constituents, colleagues, senior level executives and board members via phone, email and in person

·  Patience and receptiveness with sensitive client base required

·  Must have valid driver’s license/insurance/use of car
