As you are aware I have been researching the family name of MALE for some years now. Recently a 2nd cousin of mine viz. David Male from Brisbane approached me to put all my information on the web. I had intended to put my section on the web later on towards the end of 2001. However as David offered to do the work of entering the information, I have given him all my research work to publish on the web.

David is asking any one who has helped with the MALE TREES to have a view of what he has on the web prior to mid-February, so that when the site is made public, there will be less chance of embarrassment if there is wrong information there. As you helped out with the Tree, could you have a look and see that all is OK. If any mistakes/omissions/ or additions needed, can you contact me with the Generation number etc. David wishes me to keep the master copy on hard disk and email him any changes that need to be made.

The last 6 weeks have seen me at every opportunity, pouring over the Files I have, checking and rechecking information contained therein. It is amazing the mistakes that I have found. At the present minute I have one I can’t seem to sort out and it maybe part of your section of the TREE that is involved. I certainly would appreciate your comments about the perceived problem I have with this section. Now the Tree we are in is in 7 parts in WORD 97. In ftpart 7, if you scroll down until you come to Generation 3.. George MALE ( 31.3.1755, B. ) sp Betty MALE ( b. about 1759 ), This is where I need guidance. I have listed a son 4.. Solomon MALE m. 14.6.1807 North Curry sp Elizabeth WEMBRIDGE ( c. 19.12.1776 ) Solomons child is listed 5.. Thomas WEMBRIDGE ( This is your line Max )

Now the problem arises is that according to census figures I have, there is a family of Males The parents being Solomon Male ( b. about 1805 ) sp Susan MALE ( c.18.6.1809 KE but b. about 1805 ). It also appears that this Solomon’s parents were Solomon Male ( b. 1776 B) and Betty MALE ( b. about 1781 ). IT then appears that Solomon Snr’s parents were George Male and Betty ?

It almost looks like that Solomon Snr could have married twice. Once to Betty Male and then to Elizabeth Wembridge. Is this possible do you know ? Somewhere in the deep recess of my mind I thought I was told that you were looking for a Frederick Male, son of Solomon. I have a notation that there are more children and that Elizabeth Wembridge was possibly Solomon's 2nd wife. It has been so long ago that I made that notation that I don’t know where I got it from. It may of been from you, Max.
