NCPDP Hosts Payer Sheet Template Webinar


SCOTTSDALE, AZ - May 20, 2010 - The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) announces an important webinar for processors, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), health plans, software vendors, and pharmacies – its Payer Sheet Template Webinar will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. EDT.

NCPDP's Telecommunication Standard Version D.0 includes a significant new approach to payer sheets. This new approach will be discussed in detail with an emphasis on how to produce the most concise and effective payer sheets possible using the NCPDP Telecommunication Version D.0 Payer Sheet Template Implementation Guide. The payer sheet approach is based on compliance within the industry standard requirements published in the Telecommunication Standard Version D.0.

Webinar attendees will receive instructions on creating payer sheets using the NCPDP Telecommunication Version D.0 Payer Sheet Template Implementation Guide including:

§  How to determine the number of payer sheets needed based on the plans and business cases your organization supports.

§  How to designate the situations in which segments and fields will be used.

§  How to include the appropriate segments and fields on the payer sheet.

§  What additional sources of information are required to support the creation of the payer sheet?
