„Inclusive Education for Roma Youth”

Host NGO:„Centrul Educational de Resurse si Training – CERT”

implements between 5-15 August 2017 a complex training program aiming to :

-To equip 28 youth workers with attractive non-formal methodology used as complementary in school activities with Roma pupils: team-building/trust games, energizers, communication/leadership/problem-solving games, HRs methods for 10 days;

-To raise the knowledge level of 28 youth workers about the Roma youth culture, mentalities, traditions, social practices, needs and superstitions for 10 days using photo-voice;

-To raise awareness upon the importance of education(formal&non-formal) for job market for 240 Roma NEET(30 Roma youth/ partner NGO)using non-formal methods;

- To raise awareness upon the importance of education for social and job integration for 350 Roma NEET in Spineni&Craiova through flash-mob and photo-voice methods for 10 days;

IV. For local communities in the all partner countries:

-To raise awareness upon the importance of education for social and job integration for 480 Roma NEET (2 parents for each 240 Roma youth) during 4 months of after- school non-formal follow-up sessions and contact making meetings and counseling.

In short , we’ll prepare a group of trainers who will learn how to run complementary activities in schools with Roma pupils so to raise attractiveness of school at such a level of being able to multiply it in their own realities.

Profile of participants:

I. The background and profile of the “potential” participants:

  1. -To be a member of the sending organization;
  2. -To be working with youth for 1 year (NGOs, schools, public authorities) mention the attended programs;
  3. - To be aged over 18;
  4. -Resident in the sending country;
  5. - Have developed projects for inclusion or are motivated to develop such projects in future under Erasmus +;
  6. - Have the sending organization agreement/support for the follow-up and dissemination activities;
  7. - Possess advanced knowledge of English (writing and speaking).

II. Selection criteria: (also mentioned in MOU-signed after selection but included in the open call as preview for registered participants):

  1. -To be able to attend full duration of training course,
  2. -To be able to run the dissemination and follow-up activities in their communities.
  3. -To submit a final report upon the follow-up activities;
  4. -To ensure visibility of the E+ program.
  5. Participants will be asked to express in the registration form a clear explanation of their learning/developing needs, motivation to develop their competences on working with Roma minorities, solutions for connecting Roma youth to school/education.
  6. Interest and motivation;

What you need to do : Fill in the application form AND Memorandum of understanding (MOU) attached to this call + CV to prove your youth worker experience and send by e-mail to your represented association before - 20th of July 2017; your association will announce the results before - 22nd of July 2017; The final list will be published on the 23rd of July by email and online in the facebook group of TC.
