Regional Industry Leaders’ Forums
Objective
The objective of this round of Regional Industry Leaders’ Forums is to create an opportunity to foster strong relationships between industry, employers and Tasmania’s Training and Workforce Development System.
Outcome
The forums will provide an opportunity for delegates to contribute their ideas and industry needs in respect of training and workforce development within established Ministerial priorities. This intelligence collected will be influential on Government and will help shape new strategies for workforce development and how we purchase training to best support industry.
Content
These are information exchange forums, critical to the Government’s gathering of industry advice at both the strategic and operational levels. In turn this advice is critically analysed and informs the Government’s purchasing of training and workforce development programs and services. In other words, what training is delivered, where, why, how and by whom.
This series of forums follows a fortnight after TasInvest Forum 2014 and there will be discussion on how businesses, from a workforce development perspective, can capitalise on the opportunities arising from the visit to Tasmania of the Chinese delegation.
