Parking:
•Wodonga Campus - students are encouraged to park in the sports ground located at the end of Vermont street for an early (am) shift, and the car park opposite Dialysis for the late (pm) shift (for personal safety reasons).
•Albury Campus - students are encouraged to park in the bottom car park next to the Cancer Centre for an early (am) shift, and the car park outside Emergency Department for the late (pm) shift (for personal safety reasons).
Shift Hours:
- Wodonga Campus:
Morning Shift Afternoon Shift
0700hrs to 1530hrs 1300hrs to 2130hrs
- Albury Campus:
Morning Shift Afternoon Shift
0700hrs to 1530hrs 1330hrs to 2200hrs
For specialty placement shift times such as Community or Theatre, please refer to your roster, as provided by your Education Provider.
It is advisable that you arrive 10 minutes before the shift so you can put your belongings away, collect your handover sheet and be seated prior to handover. You will be allocated a staff member for support throughout the shift.
Supervision and Assessment:
Throughout placement, your work will be overseen by the Clinical Facilitator. Assessments will be completed by either the Clinical Facilitator or preceptor. Information is collected through direct observation and daily feedback from your preceptor and other staff.
Debrief:
Debrief sessionswill occur twice weekly for all students.
Interprofessional learning sessions (IPL):
Each week, aninterprofessional learning sesssion is offered at each campus for undergraduate students from all disciplines. The sessions may include simulation, case studies and other topics of interest.
Due to the large number of nursing students at one time it is recommended that only 2-3 nursing students attend each week. Your undergraduate facilitator will discuss this with you.

Medication administration:
All students who are required to give medication must be supervised by an RN at all timeswhilst both preparing and administering.
