Cultural Center Positions for 2017-18

Community Connections Coordinator

The Community Connections Coordinator will assist with organizing events and programs on campus that help connect UIC students with Chicagoland Asian American communities. Currently, we are working with Asian-interest student organizations and Global Asian Studies as partners in these programs.

We are looking for an organized student with experience coordinating events. Applicants should be resourceful and comfortable in working with campus and community partners on programming. Familiarity with Chicagoland Asian American communities is helpful but not required. This position will start in August 2017. You will need to be an undergraduate student maintaining at least six credit hours during Fall 2017.

These positions will also assist with general outreach and publicity for AARCC events. We expect these positions to require approximately 10-20 hours per week. These positions start at $9.60/hour (with expected increase this summer) and are open to work-study (preferred – revise your FAFSA or contact Financial Aid to request work-study) and non-work-study students.
