INSTRUCTION. / TIME/MATERIALS
TW explain the word monochromatic and review the terms tint and shade.
“We made the place where our chameleons live using shades, then we drew and painted our chameleons using tints, today we are going to be outlining the chameleons so we can see your great designs again. Then we will be putting the whole project together by cutting out our chameleons and gluing them to our backgrounds. When we do that we will have made a painting using a monochromatic color scheme.”
TW demo outlining chameleon, cutting and gluing project together.
Once we are done with our chameleons, you will be putting together your portfolios. You will get all of your projects back. If they are finished you will put them in your portfolio. If you are not finished you will get the supplies you need and finish them.

GUIDED PRACTICE. / TIME/MATERIALS
TW pass out portfolios and all projects. We keep a portfolio of all our work so that we will be able to see what we need to work on and how we have improved through the year. We will get to bring these projects home at the end of the semester to show our parents but for now we are going to keep them safe in our portfolios. SW file all completed projects into portfolios. / 8 minutes
