Sub: Irregular and incredible marking pattern observed in paper II of TES Gr B competitive examination – kind intervention solicited please.
Sir,
While communicating the marks of TES Gr B competitive examination, the results of which were recently announced, it has been observed that an unbelievably huge number of JTOs having appeared in the said examination have secured marks ranging from 45 to 50 in paper II. What is of serious concern, justifiably deserving a through analysis and recheck of paper II of the examination, is that a very huge number of JTOs have secured 48/49 marks in paper II.
This highly erratic pattern of marks secured in paper II is not only incredible, but unprecedented too. Candidates having got stuck up in the range of 45 to 50 genuinely and justifiably feel aggrieved and rightly have a feeling that a deliberate attempt has been made to make it sure that the success rate of the examination is not high.
Generally there are complaints almost in every examination about marking pattern, but, this Association has never, in the past, interfered in such an issue. But this time the number of JTOs having secured marks in the range of 45-50 is incredibly high. It is so high that we are virtually constrained to request your kind intervention by directing the concerned officers to find out the reasons for such a massive number of JTOs getting stuck up in this range of 45-50. In fact, there are formidable and sound reasons that prompt a thorough analysis and study of the marking pattern of paper II so as to come to a rational conclusion. We are sure that our intervention on such an issue would be taken in the right perspective and our compulsions appreciated.
With kind regards,
Sincerely yours,
( G.L.Jogi )
