Director of Activities and Events- Elkridge Club
Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Activities and Events who will be responsible for creating, planning, marketing, promoting and coordinating all events and activities at the Club. The Director of Activities and Events will Identify opportunities for events in our sports operations and recreational facilities that satisfy ongoing member needs as well as plan events rangingfrom an intimate dinner party to large weddings or corporate events. The Director of Activities and Events will act as an ambassador within the organization to create relationships by offering creative ideas for parties, meetings, weddings, and other special events to encourage optimal utilization of facility assets.

Desired Skills/Qualifications
Candidate should be highly organized, friendly and outgoing with a positive attitude. He or she must have experience in successfully creating, booking, servicing and executing private events. He or she should have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members, guests, Club management and staff. Candidate must have a flexible schedule andbe able to work 55+ hours a week including nights and weekends. He or she should have a broad knowledge of food, wine, spirts, event planning and understand the different aspects of high level service.
Candidate must have a minimum of three to five years as a successful events planner or director at a high end establishment, hotel, private club or resort.
Educational Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related discipline or equivalent experience is required
