From Ms Hesp: CONGRATULATIONS to the Under 16 girls who have progressed through to the quarter finals (final 8 of250 teams which entered) of the National Football Competition. The girlsplayedbrilliant football and should be so proud of their achievements. Congratulations toJoy Perry who scored 2 goals. The quarter finals will be played after Christmas.

Next week we have the Winter Fair on Friday, 2nd December so year 7 student will be responsible for setting up and running their stalls. We must also be mindful of taking responsibility for our actions and behaviour. Please discuss this with your tutees.
From Ms Timms: GCSE Certificate Evening
This event was well attended by last year’s Y11 and their parents. The atmosphere was great and it was good to see some of the students who left us in the summer. Thanks to all involved - Jane, Mal, and subject/faculty leaders, but especially to Lynda Dale for her brilliant organisation.
From Ms McCarthy: Youth Speaks
Entries for both the intermediate and senior competitions need to go in this week, and we are looking for teams in both categories. Anyone who is interested in the intermediate competition (from years 7,8 and 9) or the senior completion (years 10-13) please come to an audition on Tuesday after school in room 6 (North Site) with a two minute speech on a topic of current interest to you.

In south site library I run a continuous stock take, I am finding that an increasing number of books are disappearing from the shelves. I’m sure this is due to the fact that some students/staff are forgetting to get their book issued to them! If you have a book that you have accidently taken from the library please could you return it, this can be done anonymously via the book returns box.
