3. FISHING EFFORT
(a) Tie-up Period
Please indicate the dates of the period totalling not less than 28 days,this may be taken in two tranches between the months of July to October2017 inclusive and June 2018, during which you must stop all fishing activity.

The Pilot Scheme provides for the opting in/out of the targeted monkfish allocations for the management period. In order that the monkfish fishery can be managed as accurately as possible please indicate in the following table what your participation will be in the scheme for July 2017.

For each subsequent management period the following procedure will apply.
In order to facilitate planning, we require licence holders to advise the Department by 15th of each month prior to the managementperiod of their intention to opt in/out of the Scheme for the following month/management period. Where such notification is not received by the given date, a rollover from the previous month/management period will apply. This will give the Whitefish Quota Management Advisory Group the information to plan the regimes for the following month/management period.
