Constitution of India:
No:GH-SH/14/SAO/6578/80/595-98-GH:-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India the Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Administrative Officer / Assistant Planning Officer in Gujarat Educational Service, Class-II (Administrative branch) in the office of the Directorate of Technical Education namely;
1.These rules may be called the Administrative Officer / Assistant Planning Officer in the Gujarat Service Class-II Recruitment Rules,

2.Appointment to the post of Administrative Officer / Assistant Planning Officer shall be made by promotion amongst the person working as registrar of Engineering Colleges and Polytechnics in Gujarat Educational Sevice Class-II, who has put in at least three years' service in the cadre of Registrar.

3.The candidate appointed by promotion shall be required to pass the departmental examination and examination in Gujarati or Hindi in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government in that behalf.

4.The candidate appointed by promotion shall be required to undergo such training, if any prescribed by the Government.
