These positions are still open. Phillip to approach Laurence regarding the Publicity Officers job.
Troy’s Brothers Goalie Helmet
Troy has his brother’s helmet He wants $200 NZD for it. Check with Nick and purchase if required.
Goalie Gear
Nick will collect all of our gear so we can photograph and record it’s description.
Once done we will seek information re getting our Gear insured.
All gear to be repaired ready for hiring out for the new season.
Motion –That the following proposal be accepted as policy for our goalie gear .
Goalies sets are to be a mixture of old and new gear.
Sets are to divided evenly between clubs needing it.

PROPOSAL FOR THE HIRE AND USE OF SNC GOALIE GEAR
SNC Goalie Gear
SNC will provided the following items in their goalie sets that will be hired to clubs for their use in any official SNC league game or practice.
1 set of leg pads
1 helmet
1 mitt and 1 blocker
1 chest protector
Goalies will supply their own
Skates
Sticks
Shorts
Box
Throat protector
Cost of hiring the gear will be $200 per goalie using the gear- i.e. if a club has 2 goalies sharing the gear they pay 2 lots of the hire age. Hire age is for the main season from the start of October to the end of March. Hire age over winter is to be negotiated.
Also once we can obtain insurance for our gear this will be divided by the number of sets and added to the cost of hiring it.
Clubs will be responsible for the basic up keep of the gear i.e. buckles and straps on leg pads top be repaired at the clubs expense
OUR GEAR IS ONLY FOR USE AT SNC GAMES AND PRACTICES
GOALIES WHO ARE CURRENTLY USING OUR GEAR FOR IN LINE MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY.ANY GOALIE FOUND TO BE USING OUR GEAR FOR IN LINE WILL IMMEDIATELY LOOSE THE RIGHT TO HIRE OUR GEAR WHICH MUST BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY WITH NO REFUND OF HIREAGE.

We have opened Rep team bank account and changed the name to
"Canterbury SNC Ice Hockey League Inc"

Due to turnover being greater than $40 000 we have to become GST
registered and will need to file returns every 6 months(Sept and
April), Vanessa Cooper has offered to help set up the software
correctly to make this process as easy as possible.
Pub Charity funded the 2004 Rep team to $7302.75 despite being
emailed prior to nationals asking for the application to be withdrawn
due to Century Foundation funding received for the same event.
Motion to repay, in full, pub charity with a covering letter thanking
pub charity and explaining the situation.
Motion to repay Century Foundation $962 for funds received but not used for Nationals 2004 by the
Canty SNC Rep team, Letter of thanks to be included with the receipts.
Motion That we accept the attached report as a true and correct record and pass the following for Payment

General Business
SNC Rep Team
We travelled to Gore for our National Competition. We played a double round robin against Auckland and Southern.Results were as follows.
Game 1 V Southern Won 13 – 2
Game 2 V Auckland Drew 2 all
Game 3 V Southern Won 12 -1
Game 4 V Auckland Won 7 -5
We won gold.
Ian Findlay named MVP of Tournament and Graeme Scott named Top Forward of Tournament.
10 players were named in the Tournament team Forwards-Ian Findlay , Graeme Scott , Bruce Harwood , Devon Kay , John Thomsen , John Williamson , Defence Peter Klemick , Julian Sands , Matthew Wheatley Goal Wayne Hsueh.
Summer Season 2004/2005
B Grade
B Grade ice is to be increased 15 minutes per night to allow for a groom
1st 2 nights in the B grade will be non competition then competition will begin
Schedule presented to meeting. Schedule accepted.
Prem And A Grade
Prem and A Grade competition yet to decided on the number of teams in each grade. If they are a 4 team competition they will the same format as the B Grade. If they are 6 team competitions they will have 4 rounds followed by semi finals and then finals. Number of teams will be finalised at the next meeting.
Grading nights 19th & 26th of September
Six people required on ice each night to help. Stop watches needed.
19th On Ice will be Troy , Rachel ,Nick ,Phillip ,Anna and Chris. Alison to do off ice questionnaire.
26th On Ice will be Nick , Rachel ,Phillip ,Chris ,Anna and Jason. Alison to off ice questionnaire.
Existing Players Grades
Captains from last season to grade players in their team last season. Captains to have these to the grade coordinators before the 19th. Prem coordinator is Rachel ,A Grade is Nick and B Grade is Phillip.
Troy and Coordinators will meet after the gradings on the 19th and confirm these grades.Then each grade coordinator will confirm these to the captains.
Captains must notify each team member ASAP as to his/her grade.Players who are not happy with their grade must contact Phillip ASAP to book to do the grading on the 26th.Phillip can be contacted on 021 2345 257 or
Ange will be a graded Prem and Alyx and Eve will stayed graded A unless they want to go through the grading process.
Registrations.
On line registration will close on the 22nd of September. All clubs were given lists as to who had not registered from their club. Clubs to contact these people and find out their intentions for the coming season.
After the 22nd registrations must to done through Anna and Alison.
At present 120 odd registered with lots of people not heard from.
CIHA Meeting on the 15th of September.
A discussion was held concerning the sanctioned document written by Bud and one written by Clive. Even though all members of the CIHA had been forwarded Clive’s document it has never been table or discussed at a CIHA meeting.
Our delegates will be asked to vote on the document written by Bud. Members of the SNC still have major problems with this document.
Motion-That we move that the SNC delegates at the CIHA Meeting on the 15th of September vote against the Sanctioned event document as written by Bud that will be tabled during their meeting.

Motion –That we move that the SNC Delegates ask the CIHA that the rep players contract be given to the delegates to take back to their leagues for comment before finalising the contract.
