Have a Say in Galveston Bay! Charting the Course to 2015 is your opportunity to learn about Galveston Bay and become involved in shaping its future!

Galveston Bay was designated an estuary of national significance in 1989. Recognizing the bay’s importance to our region’s economy and quality of life, citizens and local stakeholders worked with our Governor and Congress to establish the Galveston Bay Estuary Program to protect and preserve this national treasure.

Charting the Course to 2015 is our latest outreach initiative designed to connect you and your neighbors to the future of the bay and our region.

GALVESTON BAY
COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSES

Charting the Course to 2015 includes a series of seven free Galveston Bay Community Open Houses to be held February – April 2006 throughout the Houston-Galveston region.

At the open houses, you can learn about the beauty of the Bay, the latest environmental, economic and community issues associated with the Bay region, and how you can get involved in its protection.

Share with us your interests in the Bay to help chart the course to protect the Bay for generations to come.

Open houses will be from 1-5 pm. Enjoy the exhibits, food, fun, and door prizes at any of the following locations!
