ACTIVITY
Task 1
Prepare a food tasting activity for the children in your care. You could try following a theme such as red fruit and vegetables, soft fruit and vegetables,or perhaps just one type of fruit or vegetable covered thoroughly.
Consider all the ways you could present food to children and encourage them to try it in each form, e.g. carrots could be given whole with skin on or off; they could be diced, cubed, sliced or grated, made into juice or cooked. You could also show pictures of the carrot growing.
Make a little chart like the one below for parents to see what foods their child like and in what form.

Task 2
Plan an appropriate menu for the day. Using a separate sheet of paper, list what each child will have for breakfast, lunch and dinner and any snacks and drinks they will need during the day.
