I have approximately seven-year experience in translating from Czech to English and English to Czech language.

As a freelance copywriter I write creative advertising texts in English and Czech language for various web sites. I develop on-line projects, creative concepts and marketing campaigns as well as create slogans for company logos, internet banners etc., together with translations of all the above mentioned.

I studied English Language and Literature at Masaryk University in Brno, Faculty of Arts. I specialized in Linguistics and in my Bachelor’s as well as Master’s thesis I focused on the language of advertising, specifically on the feature of inference and implicature in English advertising texts. I am currently studying doctoral programme at the aforementioned English Department of Masaryk University and continuing my research in the area of advertising language.

I live in the Czech Republic and work part-time as an English teacher at a language school based in Brno.
