How to Sign-up for Edmodo

  1. Go to
  2. Click “I’m a Student” under Sign-up Now. It’s free.
  3. Enter the group code, username, password, email (or mom and dad’s email), and name.
  4. You need to enter either yours or mom and dad’s email to receive alerts on when projects and assignments are due as well as alerts for tests and review sessions.

  1. Once you are on the Edmodo site, click on “Settings” in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Under “Notifications,” change your notification type to your email address and put a check in the boxes for “Alerts,” “Notes,” and “Direct Messages.” These are all ways Mrs. Useche may contact you. You MUST do this or you will not receive important class information.
  3. You may also upload a picture to be your profile picture.

  2. Spotlight – Important upcoming events are listed under Spotlight.
  1. Calendar (at the top) – You can look to see when assignments are due, when there are upcoming tests, quizzes, and projects, and other important events.
  1. Library (at the top) – Look in the appropriate folder to find assignments and projects that Mrs. Useche uploaded for you.
  1. Message/Communication Box
  2. Note – You can send a message to a classmate, Mrs. Useche, or the entire class. Keep in mind, Mrs. Useche can read everything you write and will delete inappropriate comments.
  3. Link – You can insert a link to a website or video
  4. File – You can upload something you typed at home in Word or Excel.

  2. Alerts – Click on this to see important messages Mrs. Useche sent you.
  3. Assignments – Mrs. Useche will post all homework assignments on the calendar and they will also appear on your wall.
  4. Files – Click on this to see files Mrs. Useche uploaded for you or that classmates uploaded.
  5. Links – Click on this to see links that Mrs. Useche or other students inserted.
  6. Polls – Click on this link to see and take polls.
  7. Under your picture on the main page. Everything refers to all activity and posts of all your classmates, including yourself. Direct are posts and activity that apply to only yourself.
