October ’10 – December ‘11M/Y Plan B 164ft Private Expedition Yacht Captain

  • Successful cruising through Maldives and the Indian

Ocean, Indonesia, Micronesia, Australia for a small interior refit, the Pacific including New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji then up the West Coast of the US.

  • Extensive helicopter operations in remote areas
  • Extensive and remote Diving and ROV expeditions with National Geographic and Conservation International.

April ’10 – October ’10S/Y Ethereal 200ft Private/Charter Relief Captain

  • Assisted with deliveries

May ’05 – March ‘10M/Y Plan B 164ftPrivate Expedition Yacht Captain

  • 2 year extensive refit as First Officer adding Oceaneering equipment such as a Submarine, ROV and Side Scan Sonar tow winch and cable (10,000ft) and helicopter operations including refueling.
  • Implementing new ISM system.
  • Managing all deck related and some interior matters during the refit.
  • I was heavily involved with setting up the AV system and IT system on board.
  • I took over as full time Captain at short notice when the boat left the yard in June 2007. We have circumnavigated the globe twice cruising to the East Coast of the US, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Suez Canal, Indian Ocean and Maldives, Indonesia, Micronesia, Australia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Kiribati, Samoan Islands, French Polynesia, Easter Island, Galapagos, Panama and West Coast of the US.
  • During this time we performed many research operations involving the use of side scan sonar and an ROV.
  • Successfully took the boat through all annual surveys and the 5 year Special Survey and several refits.
