What do you enjoy most about your ministry?

Some of my favorite and most memorable times are those times when I have the opportunity to spend with the kids just chatting it up about what is going on in their lives. I am also blessed with the mission trips we regularly go on to Mexico. Watching our young people blossom as they minister to the orphans from the Casa Hogar, Vida Joven (Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico) is such a blessing.

What is your favorite bible verse?

A scripture I try to live by is Psalm 86:11, "Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you." I pray my every day is lived so that this verse is seen in all I do.

Outside of church, what take up most of your time?

When I'm not hanging out with the kids I love to bake. If cookies, cakes, pies, scones or bread are pleasing to your palette then my house is where you want to be. I also love walking in the wilderness taking in God's creation.

What’s on your iPod?

Music is by far one of my favorite ways to spend time with God. I love David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Rend Collective, For King and Country, Lecrae, Tenth Avenue North, Family Force Five and of course Coming Soon (our own youth band). Oh, and I shouldn't leave out Brad Paisley and Lady Antebellum.

Describe your perfect day.

My perfect day would begin with waking up to fresh falling snow, my family would be at home, the fireplace lit and Christmas lights on, while Christmas music is playing in the background. After the baking begins, the youth would show up, snowmen and forts would be built and we would have a massive snowball fight. The day would end with chili on the stove, corn bread in the oven, and the movie Miracle on 34th street. Goodnight sleep tight.
