£9.67 per hour (£11.17 per hour, weekend rate)
A role in the Companionshipteam asa Colten Companion (Activity Organiser / Activity Co-ordinator / Support Worker)ensures that the residents of our care home can look forward to a calendar of meaningful activities that contribute to the overall wellbeing of our residents.
The Companionship role is very rewarding. You will be responsible for co-ordinating a rolling calendar of entertainment within the home which includes: planning and delivering games, quizzes, arts and crafts; arranging days out on the minibus; booking outside entertainers and organising fundraising and themed events. Activities may be on a larger scale or you may be delivering smaller group activities for groups of like-minded individuals. As well as providing companionship, and one to one sessions.
You will actively encourage involvement with community groups, inviting people into the home to join us on occasions such as gala functions, raffles, fetes, coffee mornings and other sponsored activities. The role is fun and varied; no two days are the same and you will be making a positive difference to the physical and intellectual wellbeing of residents in your care.

A relevant qualification or experience in entertainment / performance is desirable but not essential.
Once on board you’ll join the companionship team, and your job title will be Colten Companion.

Ideally for this role you’ll have previous leadership experience, along with some experience of preparing and managing rota’s and budgets.
