Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 13th January 2014, at Bardney Methodist Hall.
Present: / Elected Committee: / K Ruane, D Miles, J Benton, P Rennie, C Wilson, D Letts, K Walker
Apologies:
1. / Minutes of the last meeting:
· The Chairperson read the minutes and these were signed as a true record.
2. / Matters Arising:
· C Wilson is present, so the statement on the last minutes giving her apologies was deleted.
· As yet there has been no response to the last phase submitted for the BAR project.
· HSBC statements have been obtained.
· Parish news-D Miles put in a request for information regarding WWI and people named on war memorial.
· Bardney riots-no further information has been uncovered regarding the riots. C Wilson knows someone who may be able to help so will ask them.
3. / Correspondence/Emails:
· A letter has been received from Lincoln Co-op to say that we have not qualified for a cash bonus this year.
4. / Fundraising:
· Sale of booklets is ongoing.
5. / Websites:

6. / Projects/Interests:
· D Miles has had several responses to his request for WWI information. These have not produced much information, but more responses are coming in so he is hopeful that something will transpire.
· Meeting at The Barn on 20th January for talk re: Friends of Bardney Abbey Group reformation.
· D Miles has purchased Family Tree Maker which came with 3 months registration to Ancestry.com. This is quite useful for the WWI project.
7. / Any Other Business:
· J Benton offered to write the story of her father for the WWI project. Everyone agreed this would be an excellent addition.
· D Miles has purchased a small crested-ware cheese dish with the Abbey crest on it.
· C Wilson asked if Brother Oswald had been treated against the weather. D Letts offered to go on the following day to do the job, as he has the oil.
