Representative of Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education Scientific Research (MoHESR) in U.S.A.
The main task of the Iraqi Cultural Office is authentication of the diplomas issued by American accredited universities and schools. The Iraqi Cultural Office is able to authenticate diplomas awarded to:
· Iraqi scholarship students including those who studied in the U.S. under Iraqi-Sponsored Scholarship programs and fellowships.
· Iraqis who graduated from American educational institutions, including private students.
· Non-Iraqis who graduated from American educational institutions and require authentication in order to work in Iraq.
Instructions for Authentication of Documents issued by U.S. Academic Institutions.
Requirements:
1. Documents (diploma, transcript, thesis & report cards).
2. All documents must be notarized and authenticated by the secretary of state EXCEPT the thesis.
3. Application form per student (see web).
4. Release of academic records form per institute (see web).
5. Copy of passport or ID.
6. Money Order ONLY of $15 per document.
7. One copy of all documents sent except thesis.
8. Prepaid postal envelope addressed to the address that the certified documents will be returned to.
9. For graduate students, CD or Flash drive contains the thesis if any.
For Scholarship students ONLY. In addition to the requirements:
· Scholarship students has to pay $15 per documents as well no exemptions.
· Send a proof of sponsorship.
· Send CD or Flash drive contains your thesis
· Letter from advisor or counselor proves the accomplishment of the program and graduation requirements .
Cultural Office does not authenticate any of the following:
· Diplomas issued by unaccredited academic institutions.
· Non-academic certifications including technical training, professional certificates or certificates of excellence/distinction.
· Diplomas issued by of universities or colleges, where the study is online, as instructed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq.
*All authentication process may take between 2 to 10 business days at the ICO and it could take longer in some cases.
*The ICO doesn't accept any Walk-ins under any circumstances.
*All students must send their documents through the mail
