Restless DevelopmentUnite to fight AIDS tour: Volunteer Tour Logistics and Campaigner

Restless Development ( runs dance4lifeUKand the Student Stop AIDS Campaignand are seeking an enthusiastic person to join the National Tour as thevolunteer tour logistics and campaignerin the autumn2010.This is a voluntary post with all food, accommodation and travel expenses covered.

The tour brings together young people, from across the world who have been personally affected by the AIDS pandemic and connects them to school and university students across the UK, inspiring them to take action.

This post will provide you with the opportunity to:

  1. work as part of an international team uniting young people to push back HIV & AIDS
  2. be responsible for the route of the tour
  3. share the driving of the tour bus
  4. be responsible for all technical issues and stage set up
  5. support a young tour team to deliver the workshops and campaign for HIV related issues
  6. help to provide pastoral support to the young tour team
  7. input into the development of future tours
  8. Work in a very busy environment
  9. develop your own skills, particularly communication and time management

The successful applicant will need to be a confident with:

  1. campaigning and HIV information
  2. driving long distances,

and must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes. You must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

You will need to be available from Wednesday 22ndSeptember – Tuesday 23rdNovember (with the half term week off: 24th – 30th October). There is a possibility of time share and so please do feel free to apply even if you cannot make all of this time.
