A cost benefit analysis was performed. See attached spreadsheet for details. The results show that if this system is successfully implemented it will add value to the company.

ROI over 5 years is: 388.8%

Total benefit after 5 years is: 1.09 million (adjusted for present value)

Break-even occurs: after .57 years

Intangible Cost and Benefits

·  On-time filing of OSHA required documentation

·  Improved tracking of all equipment at facility

·  Improved position in the industry in the area of safety

Organizational Feasibility

This system is a must have for our organization. Safety is a top priority for the environment in which our organization operates. Unsafe working environments are costly. Implementing this system will aid us in reaching our goal to be a leader in the area of safety. It will help us keep our employees safe and help cut cost related to injuries and non-compliance.

The EH&S manager is the champion for this project and he has the support of upper management. System users will be involved with the project from start to finish.

Organizationally, this project is feasible.
