Theme of the project: - Human rights (Freedom of expression)

Location/area of the project: - Danyore

Target Audience: - Schools at Danyore

Local available resources: - School andcommunity, chats, laptop, stationary, transport, facilitators.

Background:-

The most appropriate project idea which we have chosen is human rights (freedom of expression).

As we know that human right violation is a big issue all around our country, it is difficult to overcome this issue but not impossible. It is an essential matter to put in our consideration, which is facing by our community.

So this project is our first step to resolve this issue, we choose a small location (Danyore) in Gilgit Baltistan. As we know that “today’s students are tomorrow’s leader” therefore there is a great need of attention towards schools because student is the back bone of better tomorrow.

It is very important to fulfill all basic rights to each and every student because everyone has equal rights, so one of the fundamental right is “Freedom of expression” means to express freely or share their ideas with other without any hesitation.

So schools provide platform to students to express themselves. During this project we will visit schools at Danyore and observed either students got freedom of expression or not. If student don’t have freedom of expression then we have to know that, what the reasons behind this?? So the aim of our project is to evaluate the whole class environment.

Following points will be considered in our observations

1.  Co-ordination between teacher and students.

2.  Time duration of the class:-

This includes the whole time management wether the teacher utilizes the whole time or gives chance to the students in the class.

3.  Co-education:-

We observe the presence or absence of coeducation and observe the freedom of expression them, wether they feel hesitation while speaking or not?

Is gender dominancy effect the class environment?

4.  Teacher behavior:-

Whether teacher treat eachand every student equally ? Is favoritism is dominant in class? E.g. is the teacher give preference to the position holder in the class.

Teacher rudeness or violence.

5.  Class activity:-

To explore their activity is the teacher gives them various activities, which obviously build their creativity and enhance their confidence.

6.  Student participation:-

During the period of our observation of the class, we will examine that the teacher appreciates the participation of class and encourage them to rise question in the class.

7.  Lack of confidence:-

How much the teacher is creative to build the confidence of the student and enhance their capability to make them speak. To able them to communicate with others.

How will this project benefit your community??

This project will be very fruitful for the students and community. As freedom of expression is the basic right of every one. The modern world is rapidly growing in every field of life due to which human rights are violating so our project is one of those projects which highlights human right issues like freedom of expression.

Thus this project is beneficial for the local community, they get know, what is the importance of freedom of expression especially for their children’s. Our project also give awareness to the parents to get know about the hidden talents of their children’s by freedom of expression.

It builds a bridge between parents, teacher and their children that they can share their feeling, ideas, and problems without any hesitation.

Or project provide a platform for the students to share their ideas, feelings, problems and also express their hidden talent, they get the opportunity to build up their confidence , our project develop a bond between parents, teacher and students and also create a friendly atmosphere in a society. If the student has any problem but he/she can’t express then he may suffering from depression or

become psychological patient if these problems exceed the level the suicide like worst activity will emerge.

Our project made the society to know about the above mentioned problems and they get awareness to overcome them.

Objectives:-

The main objectives of our projects are:-

1)  Improving communication among student, teachers and parents and giving chance to the students to share their ideas will build their confidence.

2)  To make the teachers capable of transferring knowledge and through different activities which create leadership skills by active learning.

3)  To give awareness to the students, teachers and parents in a society.

4)  To find out the ratio of class participation of the students in a class.

5)  To provide creative thinking platform for the students and improve their intra personal skills.

6)  To opportunities for the weak students.

7)  To make the students able to know the importance of freedom, meaning of freedom and how to use the freedom.

Feasibility:-

As the theme of our project is to give awareness about freedom of expression in students so for this purpose we need a suitable location for it implementation therefore we chose some schools at Danyore.

As freedom of expression is common issue all around the world so our project is just a first step to overcome this issue, hence we have chosen a small locality called Danyore where we can implement it easily and it is also easy for us to assess this area and their schools.

How will you start and manage your social action project??

Methodology:-

There is a great need of attention towards human right (freedom of expression) and its awareness to school students to get strong, bold and sharp future leaders.

So in order to organize this project we recruit samples of students along with teachers in a classroom and surrounding community, after that we will organize an awareness session for the participants (students and teachers) which help them to understand the basic aims of the project.

Then we use questioners, sessions and interviews from students, teachers and parent’s.

Different charts and banners are used by us to convey our basic theme of our project to the target audience. For the sake of further success in our project we will take help from any facilitator.

We will observe the entire environment of the class.

Expected out comes:-

We expect that this project has positive impact on the life of the students as they haven’t any proper awareness about their rights and most are unable to share or freely express themselves.

And there are no much awareness programs organized by any organization, thus because of this project the students became aware about their basic rights (freedom of expression).

As the title of our project freedom of expression is very interesting and common.

Through our project students will be able to know the meaning of freedom, importance of freedom and how to use freedom and express their ideas openly.

It will also enhance the confidence level and improve communication skills and language between student and teacher and teacher.

Our project also provides a capable teacher who can transfer his/her knowledge to the students in an understandable way and will create a respective skill and creative thinking platform for the students.

It will provide great opportunity to highlight the leadership qualities of the students and give awareness to the students, teachers and parents in a society.

Through this project weak students would get the opportunity to express themselves.After our projects each and every individual in the class will get the chance to participate in every activity without any hesitation and will also be able to take voice for their fundamental and basic rights (freedom of expression).

The project will also provide publicity to the targeted schools and this they will be able to act as a role model to the other schools.

So the project will provide fruitful outcomes to both the students and their schools.

How will you measure the success of your Social Action Project??

We can measure the success of our project through arranging different sessions and distributing different questioners and chats and also by interviewing the targeted community (schools) to get their point of view regarding to our project.

We will measure the successes when the people of our area will appreciate us.

We will judge the change in the physical and mental appearance of students who will take part in in co-curricular ativities and their performance in class.

Behavior of teacher will also show our successes in this project.

The parents of student are the most important thing in our successes and the confidence built in the students will show the successes.

Change in the environment of institute will also show the success.

Positive behavior of our teachers is the main things to get success.
