Note: Wild West Wrestlingwas a promotion run by Ken Mantell during the second half of 1987. Mantell had recently lost his booking job for Bill Watts’ UWF when it was bought out by Jim Crockett. The promotion’s weekly syndicated TV show was produced by Channel 39 (KXTX) in Dallas and was hosted by longtime World Class announcer Bill Mercer. When Fritz Von Eric decided to leave the business, in late 1987, he sold 40% of World Class to Mantell. An interpromotional angle was run resulting in Wild West being absorbed into World Class.
