Dear Parents/Guardians,
We welcome you as parents in the sacred task of initiating our children in the Catholic faith. To be formed as disciples of Jesus means that together we provide the environment for nurturing the faith of our children. First we look to our own faith, our personal conviction. Our children must see firsthand the Holy Spirit at work in our lives. Into this faith we invite our younger members. If Jesus is Lord for us, He must be Lord through us.
The ministry of our catechists manifests our belief that God’s grace calls us in the Church to serve His people by teaching Christ’s love. On behalf of all of us, I acknowledge the dedicated service of our catechists. I invite you as parents to consider prayerfully the opportunity to join in this ministry of teaching our young people.
Your children are special to us, and even more special in God’s eyes. We welcome your commitment in sending your children to us. We promise our dedication in becoming with you the witness of the Church we want our children to be a part of on this journey of faith.
The Religious Education program is one dimension of faith formation. It relies on and draws from the life of sacramental worship and the witness of your faith. Pray with us that this experience will be a real occasion of grace in all of our lives. Pray and work to make it happen for our children. We welcome you and your children to this wonderful journey.

PREP Registration 2014-15
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We welcome your commitment in sending your children to us. We promise our dedication to journey with you and your family as you draw closer in your relationship with God.
Thank you for taking the time to read, complete and return the necessary information for your child(ren) to participate in our Parish Religious Education Program.
Our PREP program is open to members of St. Ann Parish who are currently registered parishioners. Be sure that your family is listed as a registered parishioner of St. Ann while you are here to Register for PREP or during regular Parish Office hours, so that you can be connected to all that is happening here at St. Ann Church.
For Registration, you will need the following:
1. A copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate
2. Reception dates for First Reconciliation/First Eucharist
(where applicable)
3. Registered parishioner with St. Ann Church
(can be checked during the time of PREP Registration or regular Parish Office hours)
4. A letter from another program notifying us of attendance and previous instruction
(where applicable)
5. Registration Form and Permanent Record Form (enclosed with this Packet) and Honeywell Alert Form
6. Registration Fee – non refundable – Check payable to St. Ann Church
1 child - $ 120
2 children - $ 180
3 children - $ 210
All of the above must be accompanied at the time of Registration for your child(ren) to be accepted into the program.
This is so that our record keeping for your child(ren) will be accurate for your future reference.
Due to the need to organize catechist/teacher volunteers as well as making suitable class sizes, and just as important the need to purchase sufficient materials/supplies without incurring additional fees from companies, it is essential that our families move in a timely manner for registration as we try to make our program run smoothly for the benefit of all our families and parish expenses.
If you are unsure about registering due to family/personal situations (ex. moving, financial, etc), please contact the office that arrangements can be made to ensure that your child(ren)’s faith formation will not be hindered at this time.

Once again, St. Ann’s Religious Education Program has continued, like many of the schools in the area, to use the Honeywell Alert system. This system will notify each family through a computer system via specified telephone numbers provided by you. Everyone will be alerted simultaneously about all program closures and reminders for meetings which will assist computer messages and communications.
