ARD Tuning

Modifying your vehicle means you are taking it outside the normal operating parameters it was designed to withstand. This results in vehicle components that begin to wear and break sooner and easier as the vehicle power increases. ARD does not provide a warranty of the customer’s vehicles or any of the associated components on that vehicle in any way expressed or implied. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is in proper operational condition and properly equipped for the level of tuning and parts you are installing. When in doubt, ask!

When installing the ARD TCV be sure to connect the ports to the correct vacuum hoses. Incorrect installation could result in engine damage. Connect the ports in the following manner.

.

1.  Port 1 on the TCV should connect to the Blue striped vacuum line that connects to the air intake tube between the turbo and the MAF sensor.

2.  Port 2 on the TCV should connect to the Yellow striped vacuum line that connects to the wastegate actuator on the turbo.

3.  Port 3 on the TCV should connect to the Red Striped vacuum line that connects to the turbo compressor housing.

4.  Connect the two pin electrical connector of the TCV to the factory wiring harness connector that was removed from the original TCV.

To monitor and maintain proper boost development and prevent engine damage, be sure to install a boost gauge to your vehicle before attempting any performance modifications, adjustments, or repairs. If at any time boost reading fluctuate from normal levels stop immediately and resolve any faults before continuing. Base wastegate setting may require adjustment to provide proper boost levels. ARD recommends relocation of the TCV mounting for the purpose of shortening the total length of vacuum lines between the TCV and the turbo/wastegate. It is for this reason that a mounting bracket is not supplied.
