6. / Description of content: The notified draft Technical Regulation covers the following: scope; definitions; general requirements; specific requirements; reference standards; demonstration of compliance; administrative procedures; inspection and supervisory authority; penalty regime; liability of conformity assessment bodies; review and updating; and deregulation.
This draft Regulation seeks to make vehicular and pedestrian traffic safer, road signs being a key element in achieving this objective.

It covers the normative regulations and technical specifications for and practical installation of road markings with a view to the countrywide standardization of the processes regulating their implementation.

Establish the requirements for road markings with a view to protecting human and animal health and safety and the environment and preventing practices likely to mislead users of roads and public areas.
