Last September, we have launched our new website:
The website contains information about our objectives, our partners, our activity, data of Hungarian Aerospace companies active in Hungary, workshops and other events we participated in actively.
Our database and Newsletter services are free and we authorize You to print out or forward our Newsletter to any other organization or person who can benefit of reading it.
Past issues of our Newsletters can be downloaded from our website.

2005 has been a remarkable year for both HAIF and our industry.
Our organization continued the networking and promoting activity both at home and abroad taking part actively in conferences, business conventions and workshops in Budapest, Rzeszow, Brussels and twice in Bordeaux. This year we have launched our website and Newsletter service, to support our communication effectiveness.
Our industry this year achieved four important “firsts”:
1. For the first time in the history of Hungarian Aviation 15 Hungarian design engineers were outplaced by Advanced Engineering Ltd. to Hamburg to work on Airbus projects.
2. The international aviation community for the first time saw a full composite Hungarian designed LSA aircraft in the Friedrichshafen Air Show: the Corvus-Corone.
3. Hungarian organizations take part in 8 FP6 3rd call aerospace research projects. Lufthansa Technik Budapest is the first business organization that decided to accept an invitation for such an activity.
3. The first Hungarian AeroSME: Hungaerotech Ltd. received AS 9100 certification from Lloyd’s.
:. Industry Events – Hungaerotech Ltd. received AS 9100 Certification
/ Hungaerotech Ltd.in Debrecen has received AS9100 Certification from Lloyd’s Register.
The Greenfield site has been established in 2002 by the Dutch mother company Eldim.
The high-tech turbine part manufacturer employs 37 people, and occupies 2400 sq.m. floor space in its current building. Another 6000 sq.m. floor space can be added later as the company grows further.
Major customers are GE, PW and Siemens; 70 different part numbers are under production now.

:. Conferences in December
XVth Aeronautical Sciences Days - December the 1st and 2nd Budapest
During the two-day event scientists, researchers government officials and business leaders presented their latest achievements and plans on various aeronautical issues.
The European Union was represented by Mrs. Paola Chiarini from ASD.

Outsourcing Conference - December the 20th Bordeaux
HAIF chairman, Mr. Mihaly Hideg has been invited by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce andIndustry for a conference with a title:
“The strategic choice of the industrial outsourcing in enlarged Europe. The Eastern European Countries: Partners and/or competitors?”
Representatives of the Polish, Czech, Romanian and Serbian Aerospace Industries were also invited to present their industries’ capabilities. In the second part of the event B2B meetings were held to step up outsourcing activity to the EEC countries.
:. Upcoming Event – Aircraft Interiors Expo – April 4-5-6 Hamburg
“Aircraft Interiors Expo is the world's largest exhibition exclusively concerned with airline interior design and airline cabin systems engineering. Every conceivable product type for interiors will be on show from seating and fabrics through to in-flight entertainment and communications technologies, galley systems and food service equipment, lavatories, lighting, laminates, floor coverings, refurbishment and cabin maintenance products, safety equipment and more. In fact our 2006 show will cover eight exhibition halls, some 35,000m² of space (over 320,000ft²) and include over 400 exhibitors.
The show provides a unique platform for manufacturers and top airline executives to meet and discuss the latest concepts, designs, products and innovations in aircraft interiors.” – say the organizers.
