Highway 2 Cruisers Scholarship Application
The Highway 2 Cruisers believe it is important to invest in the next generation of studentspursuing the automotive industry. This is why we established the Highway 2 Cruisers Scholarship Program. Each year the club will determine the number of scholarships to be given based on funding available.
Eligibility: Students pursuing two- or four-year degree programs in an automotive-related program to pursue a career in auto mechanics, auto body, diesel mechanic, etc. related to the automotive industry. The scholarship is available to high school seniors graduating in 2015 andfor 2nd year students in the above programs with an application.
Description: Two $500 scholarship awarded to (two) high school seniors pursuing a career in an automotive related program based on a one page application, letter of reference, a short summary of what they know about the US Highway 2 Cruisers,
Application Requirements:
- Completed Application Form
- One letter of recommendation from an instructoror someone associated with the restoration and /or repair of vehicles.
- A narrative providing personal knowledge of Auto Industry
Provide details of any project you have been involved with related to the restoration, mechanic work on a car/truck.
This can include attached narrative with photos if necessary.
- Include a narrative of what you know about the US Highway 2 Cruisers.
- No GPA requirement
- A recent photo for use in future scholarship promotions, member publications, and on our web site, Photos will not be returned.
The scholarship monies will be paid upon receipt of a class schedule that is verified by the appropriate registrar at the school where they are taking their program of study.This would most probably be by the end of September of their first semester.
The scholarship can be presented to the winner at their schools spring awards night and a member of theHighway 2 Cruisers who is from the community would present the scholarship.
The schools in our membership area are: Fertile, Crookston, Mahnomen, Win-E-Mac, Fosston, Bagley, Clearbrook- Gonvick and RLCC (Oklee-Plummer).

Applications must be postmarked no later than April 10, 2015.
Scholarship winners will be notified in May 2015.
