The Winslow Boy
A major new revival of Terence Rattigan’s classic family drama tours the UK, directed by Olivier Award nominated Rachel Kavanaugh and starring Tessa Peake-Jones (‘Only Fools and Horses’) and Aden Gillett (‘The House of Elliott’). Having been expelled from the Royal Navy College for stealing a five shilling postal order, young cadet Ronnie Winslow’s entire family are pulled apart by the repercussions of this charge.

In the final hours of 14th April 1912 the RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage to New York, collided with an iceberg and ‘the unsinkable ship’ slowly sank. It was one of the most tragic disasters of the 20th century. 1517 men, women and children lost their lives.

The Lowry’s festival for the compulsively curious is back.
Week 53 returns. The Lowry’s festival of incredible and international work for the contemporary-minded, most compulsively curious of cultural cats, week 53 is about challenging convention and celebrating creativity.
In May 2018, Week 53 will present over 70 performances by 100 artists exploring ‘coming of age’.
All tickets for Week 53 are either free, £10 or £20. Even more excitingly, we are delighted to announce that there will be an allocation of Pay What You Decide tickets for all productions, so there is no excuse not to try something new.

Cheryl O’Meara, Sally Gilford and Vicky Clark use innovative techniques in extracting participants’ biodata, and find unexpected ways to explore individual and social identity, generating unique patterns that are ultimately printed onto fabric.
This is textile-making, but not as you know it.

An exhibition by Chantal Joffe
Chantal Joffe’s fearless images of women and girls confront the physicality of the female body, explore transitions into adolescence and motherhood and share glimpses of her own relationship with her daughter. Alongside are key works by legendary German painter Paula Modersohn-Becker (1876-1907), the first modern woman artist to paint a nude self-portrait, and later a series of self-portraits when she was pregnant.
