GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT OF SPONSORSHIP APPLICATIONS

To be considered, applications mustinclude all details requested and meet the following criteria:

Application must:

  1. Show organization is a customer of the York and District Community Bank® Branchandprovide a list of current members.
  1. Show organization is locally based in the area from which the Bank’s customers are drawn.
  1. Include evidence of ongoing planning and budgeting with detailed costing/quotes for the proposed project.
  1. Includea copyofthe audited Profit and Loss statement for the most recent financial yearand a current bank statement.
  1. Show that the organization will contribute funds from its own resources and use Bank sponsorship as leverage to gain funding from other sources where applicable, especially where other sources of funds are known to exist.
  1. Where funds are for enduring items,agree to attach the Bank’s logo in acknowledgement of its support. (An appropriate logo will be provided by Bank.)

CONDITIONS:

  • An organizationmust be an incorporated, not-for-profitgroupand have appropriate accountability procedures in place.
  • Organization must provide an invoice/tax invoice showing sponsorship has been used for the purpose for which it was approved before funds will be released.
  • Applications must be made on the form supplied by the Bank. Supporting information should be attached to that form.
  • Sponsorship funds must be used within 12 months otherwise they will be returned to the pool.
  • Funds will not be provided for salary or wages or ongoing operating expenses of an organizationorfor projects already started/completed before application is approved.
  • NOTE: Funds will only be paid from July 1 for the July/December distribution and January 1 for the January/June distributions. Recipients are advised to time their purchases/payment to allow for this.

(NOTE: The board of York and Districts Community Financial Services Ltd reserves the right to vary these guidelines to suit unforeseen circumstances.)
