Join us for an evening of heartfelt faith sharing as we meditate on the passage from Luke 15: 11-32.

“Who hasn’t been lost at some point in their life? Everyone can identify with the frustration, fear, and loneliness that come with being lost… which means everyone can also identify with being found!” NRSV The group will reflect on how we handle those challenges with our faith and hope, while building up those looking for faith-based support.

Fast Friends Program at St. Camillus

Are you looking for a fun weekly opportunity that allows you to interact with others, stay active and have fun? St. Camillus NEEDS you! As our campus continues to grow, we need to address the importance of providing safe, convenient and personalized transportation for our residents and guests. We are seeking volunteers to greet guests as they arrive on campus as well as to help transport residents/guests to appointments or where they need to go on campus. The volunteer would be provided a phone while they are here for the shift. The volunteer could be called by a staff member or resident asking for assistance to transport them to and from a destination. All of the transporting is on campus and the volunteers would not be expected to drive for this position. Days/Times: We are looking for volunteers to help for a 9AM-12:30PM shift or a 12:30-4:00 shift Monday Thru Friday and 10AM-1PM on Sundays. We are seeking volunteers that would like to help for one or multiple shifts. We are open to working with your schedule! Coffee Clutch Assistant- Enjoy a warm cup of Joe, a sweet treat and visit with St. Camillus residents

Do you love visiting with others and indulging in a sweet treat? Then you will love to come in and be our Coffee Clutch Assistant. St. Camillus is looking for a volunteer to come in for our weekly coffee clutch program. The duties would include: helping to invite residents to the program, help set up coffee / cookie trays, help serve residents and join in the conversation with us. Help with clean up and getting residents to Mass before 3:30. We need a volunteer that is able to push wheelchairs and initiate good conversation! This would be every Friday from 1:30-3:00pm.

Activity Aide for our Memory Care Residents

St. Camillus is seeking dedicated volunteers to help run a recreational program on our Memory Care Unit. It is an engaging program that fosters personhood. Our enrichment director would train the volunteers to run the program step by step. we have created the protocol and trialed the program. Volunteers would be reading, massaging and providing items we have for reminisce. We are looking for a volunteer to come in Monday, Wednesday and possibly Friday at 3:00pm. The program would last about 1.5-2 hours. We are flexible and willing to work with you! We are excited.

Keepin’ the Faith at St. Camillus

St. Camillus is in need for volunteers to help with transporting (pushing wheelchairs) our assisted living residents to Mass and from Mass on Sundays at Guardian Angel and Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel (located on Campus). As you can imagine, many of our residents have an extremely strong faith, but are unable to transport themselves to Mass. We are excited to say that we have such great attendance to the services, that our Staff needs help!! The residents would greatly appreciate the assistance of being escorted to Mass and also having someone to sit next to during the Mass! Both of these Masses are at 10:30am, so commitment would be from 10am until 12pm on Sundays.

Your Hair is your best Accessory! Help others feel beautified at St. Camillus!

Do you love visiting with others? Do you love doing hair? St. Camillus is seeking a fun, outgoing volunteer that would be a hairdressing assistant for the assisted living residents! Our long time hairdresser, Diane needs some assistance with gathering residents for their hair appointment, talking with residents as they get their hair done and a volunteer that wouldn't mind helping to take out some rollers every once in a while! This role is extremely vital because it helps raise our residents self-esteem and makes them feel beautiful! We are looking to have a volunteer come in on Tuesday's from 8:00AM-2:00PM. We are looking for a minimum commitment of 6 months and then we will evaluate if you would like to continue!

Calling Teens to Serve!

It's never too early to start making summer plans. Registration is now open for teens aged 15 through 18 to participate in Reach Out Reach In, a summer service week sponsored by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, held July 15-20, 2018. This program is local and is great for teens who want to be involved in direct service and social action. The sites, located around the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, include homeless shelters, adult day care, community organizations, meal programs, organic farms, child care and more. Scholarships are available.

SPRED: Uniting in Faith & Friendship

SPRED (Special Religious Development) is a life-affirming ministry that brings people of different abilities and backgrounds together to grow in faith and friendship. Members of a SPRED small faith group gather as equal brothers and sister in Christ, through one-to-one relationships and a symbolic method of catechesis. Through community-building and genuine friendships, SPRED welcomes people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and integrates them more fully into parish life. Contemplative Prayer for Reconciliation and Healing from Racism

St. Ann Center’s North Campus Needs Art Supplies

The art therapist for St. Ann Center-Bucyrus Campus is looking for donated materials to help clients of all ages with therapeutic and educational projects. Specifically needed: paints, paper of all kinds, watercolor pencils, coloring books for adults, gel pens, clay, scrap paper, beads, pasta noodles, paper plates & cups, yarn and string, pastels, mosaic tiles for coaster making, glue and glue sticks, fabric, scissors, water containers, masking & painter’s tapes, tissue paper, plastic wrap, ink and ink brayers.

Can you help? Bring items to the activity coordinator at 2450 W. North Ave., Milwaukee, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
