Grants are awarded to support community projects with which Leadership Siskiyou County alumni are involved. Proposals should be submitted by Leadership Siskiyou County alumni on behalf of:
1. nonprofit organizations with tax exempt status under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code,
2. public organizations.
Please note: For organizations applying as 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, the Community Foundation will search the IRS database to confirm current status. Organizations whose 501(c)(3) status isn’t current will not be eligible for funding consideration.
Grant Amounts:
This Fund makes grants ranging from $250 to $1,000
The Fund awards grants in the following areas:
- Projects in which volunteers are involved to enhance their communities.
- Projects which include the involvement of a Leadership Siskiyou alum.
- Projects for which grant is being sought should be completed within 12 months of grant receipt.
Organizations with grant reports past due to the Community Foundation are not eligible to apply

Please address the following questions in writing and limit the narrative to one page. Use the numbered questions as headings for your responses.
- Name of Leadership Siskiyou County graduate and relationship to the project.
- Brief introduction to organizational applicant/project sponsor.
- Amount of money requested and specific use.
- Need for project and difference you hope it will make.
- Project timeline & completion date. Projects should be completed within 12 mo. of grant receipt.
- Plan for supporting project after grant funds have been expended.
- Only in the event you are unclear whether your organization complies with the non-discrimination policy above, please provide detailed information in writing as to the nature of your practice, service or program in question so that a determination can be made by the Community Foundation, in its sole discretion.
Please submit this application and requested documents only. No copies are necessary.
All Grant Requests must be postmarked or delivered to the Community Foundation. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Grant award notification will occur approximately 6-8 weeksfrom the date application is received.
