The best double-elimination-wrestle-back-to-first-place (Finals Only) state championship tournament in New Jersey (NJ residents only). To qualify for the finals, you must place 1st – 4th in one of the 2 single-elimination qualifiers listed below. Buena qualifier: max wrestlers is 400. Highland qualifier: max wrestlers is 350. All 8 place winners (4/weight/division/qualifier) must pay a $20.00 advancement fee at the qualifier in order to wrestle in the Finals. Qualifier #1 – Sunday, Jan 18th, 2009 at Buena High School, 125 Weymouth Road, Buena, NJ 08310, hosted by the Buena Braves Wrestling Club.

Weigh-Ins: 1 day only – Sat, Jan 17th, 2009, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Buena HS. (Walk-ins welcome at weigh-ins).

Tournament Start: Sunday, Jan 18th, 2009, STAGGERED STARTS; Bantams/Midgets begin at 8:30 AM, Intermediates/Juniors arrive at 11:30 AM start at 12:30 PM. Absolutely NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE.

Weigh-Ins: 1 day only - Sat, Jan 31st, 2009, 5:00 PM – PM 7:00 PM at Highland HS. (Walk-ins welcome at weigh-ins).

Championship Finals – Sunday, Feb 8th, 2009 Williamstown HS at 700 N. Tuckahoe Road in Williamstown, NJ, 08094, hosted by the Monroe Junior Wrestling Club – ONLY ONE DAY OF WEIGH-INS (MORNING OF TOURNAMENT – SUNDAY, February 8th, 2009)!!

Weigh-Ins: One day only – day of tournament, Sunday, February 8th, 2009 at Williamstown High School, Williamstown, NJ, 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM. Absolutely NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE.

Tournament Start: Sunday, February 8th, 2009, ALL DIVISIONS start at 8:30 AM sharp.

· No HS wrestlers permitted (9 – 12) · Wrestlers must have been born after 12/31/93 ·

· Must be legal resident of NJ, and may only wrestle in 1 weight & 1 division ·

· Birth certificates required if challenged, subject to disqualification if not presented by both parties in 10 minutes ·

· Minimum 30 minute interval between matches · Bantams: 1-1-1 · Midgets/Junior/Intermediates: 1-1 ½ - 1 ½ ·

· Admission to all tournaments: Adults - $5.00, Children - $3.00, under 5 yrs old free ·

Tournament Fees: The entry fee is $20.00 for all wrestlers. SJWA tournament proceeds help pay for association administrative costs, clinics, as well as other SJWA competitions and programs. Any questions about the payment of registration fees should be directed to the respective tournament directors of the qualifier you are attending.

No high school wrestlers NJ certified officials only
