An Introduction to Pilates for Golf

The success and longevity of a golfer requires many things among them are good posture, core strength, flexibility and stability. Golf is often referred to as a “Body Mind Sport”. In this fun interactive workshop you will begin by learning basic golf terminology and the benefits of Pilates for the golfer. Moving on to the golfing range you will actively learn the golf swing, faulty swing patterns and proper alignment in the golf stance. Back at the studio the focus will be on movement pattern tests and Pilate’s exercises that address the golfer’s needs. Put on your plaid Pilates clothes for a day of fun!
Pre-requisites- All Levels Welcome
Other – Students should dress for the golfing range including golf or tennis shoes, visor and sunscreen and pack a lunch.

Mat meets the MVe Fitness Chair in a familiar yet creative workout. Learn to take the mat work to new heights with fun and challenging adaptations using the MVe Fitness Chair.

Special Needs: I have a client who…..has Scoliosis

As teachers we all have those clients that we just are not sure what to do with. Whether it is an injury, weakness, pathological condition, fear or focus issue. As part of our Series, “ I have a Client Who…” we will focus on the client with scoliosis. We will explore the diagnosis of scoliosis and the client who may or may not have back pain. Walk away with some tools to try on “that client who…….”

Spine Corrector Series

An amazing and versatile workout on the ingenious designed Spine Corrector. The spine corrector series incorporates traditional exercises along with fun variations for many of the classic mat exercises, creating a fun, challenging workout.
Prerequisites: Graduate of a certification program and/or teaching experience of at least one year.
MVe™ -For the Athlete

Learn to use the MVe™ Fitness Chair to develop sport specific exercise series to challenge and improve your athlete’s performance.

Welcome to this experiential movement workshop. You will explore Level II and beyond Tower exercises and goals. Focus will be on the powerhouse, precision points and technique. Move, sweat grow. Learn and review Tower exercises, goals and individual needs. Revisit your personal practice.

Peak PilateSystem® Level I -III Reformer Technique –Cleaning up Your Act

It is time to clean up your act! Your personal practice that is. Join us in this experiential movement workshop. You will explore the Level I- III reformer exercises and transitions. Focus will be on the powerhouse, precision points and technique. Move, sweat grow.This workshop is for teachers who are thinking of taking or are currently enrolled in Peak PilateSystem® Level I-III (PPSI-III). It is also great for allteachers who want to clean up their personal technique. It can be used to help prepare you for PPP’s courses and towards required log hours.
Prerequisites:All Levels are invited. A working knowledge of the Level I Mat and Reformer

Advanced Reformer Workshop –Beyond PPS III

Come, have fun and explore the next level of reformer exercises. Add challenge to your reformer workout by adding exciting variations and new exercises. This workshop will include both demonstrations and hands on movement experience. Be ready to be physically challenged.
Prerequisites: A working knowledge of the Level III Mat and reformer and strong personal technique.

Join us in this experiential movement workshop. You will explore the full advanced mat exercises and transitions along with common additions. Focus will be on the powerhouse, precision points and technique. This workshop will end with a dynamic drill thought the entire Repertoire. Move, sweat grow.
