“In order to be successful at Yorkville East, try meeting new people! It might seem a bit awkward in the beginning, but if you try, you will see how awesome the people here really are!” – Sophie

“I know that homework is boring, but at YEMS we actually provide homework that helps the students. Make sure to study and be prepared because it’s really important to us.” – Giorgi

“The teachers push you and the expectations are much higher than in 5th grade. You can’t not do your homework.” – Gavin

“You also get to go on exciting, fun field trips with the most fun teachers. You will be given some interesting and cool projects!” – Ally

“From a social perspective, don’t be afraid to make friends and ask the teachers questions. The staff is all very kind and will help you throughout the year.” – Nicky
