5 Vocabulary Haikus. Write 2 haikus for 2 vocabulary words from the Sir Gaiwan and the Loathly Lady
vocabulary sheet. Include 2 high-lighted vocabulary words in each haiku.

11 MONDAY NIGHT SPECIALS Create a clever cartoon that uses 5 or more vocabulary words OR
Write a one paragraph speech about the importance of one of your vocabulary words OR
Create a word picture for 5 or more vocabulary words that shows a picture, definition and a sentence
for each chosen word.

Choose from the three choices above to write your I AM poem on.
Poem must have 3-5 highlighted vocabulary words. Use I am sheet on back for correct format

14 Study for your Sir Gaiwan vocabulary/comprehension test
18 MONDAY NIGHT SPECIALS Choose three words from your vocabulary list. Explain what color each
would be and why. Must have 3-5 sentences in each explanation.

Tirade would be the color red. Sometimes when parents lecture they scream. When they scream
their faces turn red. Even the person being screamed at turns red. That’s definitely the right color.

20 BOOKBOND on book report book (Teacher will hand out bookbond sheet)

Explain in 5-10 complete sentences why you are grateful to not have a parent like Ellen’s

26 I AM ELLEN POEM Use format on back to write poem as Ellen. 3-5 highlighted voc words needed
