EXPECTATIONS: BE RESPONSIBLE BE RESPECTFUL BE SAFE

  • Respect yourself, the teacher, peers, and classroom materials. I will do the same for you.
  • Be in class on time and in your seat when the bell rings.
  • Raise your hand to be recognized to ask or answer a question. No blurting out.
  • Stay in your seat unless it is time to change work stations.
  • At the end of class, do not gather your books while I am speaking. I will dismiss you, not the bell.
  • Cheating of any kind will NOT be tolerated!!!
  • No food or drinks in class. (Exception---water in a clear bottle is allowed.)
  • No cell phones or electronic devices allowed unless approved by the teacher. Refer to the PCHS handbook

****NO pocketbooks/jackets/book bags on desks or in laps!!! Phones stay in wall pocket with your assigned number.

  • FOLLOW ALL READ180 PROCEDURES.

CONSEQUENCES FOR MISBEHAVIOR:

  1. Verbal Warning---Student/Teacher Conference
  2. Parent-Teacher Contact (Email or Phone Call)
  3. Lunch Detention (may also be given immediately for being tardy, incomplete work, etc.)
  4. Office Referral. NOTE: If the issue/disruption is immediate and/or severe enough, an office referral will be also be immediate.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  • All assignments are due on the date requested
  • Follow all directions in each rotation to complete the work you are assigned
  • Keep all work in your READ180 Notebook

Makeup work: It is your responsibility to make up work when you are absent. You have 3 school days to make up work for an excused absence. There is a crate containing the work you missed.

EXAM EXEMPTIONS: All students will be required to take the EOCT for courses in which it applies. Students may exempt the final exam (1 semester courses) or 1st Semester post test (year long courses) for a course in the following ways:

  • A student must have an average of a 70 or above
  • Miss no more than 2 days per semester
  • Must pass the EOCT
