A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND THE 20022003 DORMAN HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC TEAM OF SPARTANBURG COUNTY FOR ITS COMMITMENT TO ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND TO CONGRATULATE THE TEAM ON WINNING THE AMERICAN SCHOLASTIC COMPETITION NETWORK NATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
Whereas, winning a national championship has been a goal of the Dorman High School Academic Team for several years; and
Whereas, superbly coached and inspired by Mr. Eric Huff, and Ms. Sheila Wiernicki, and supported by their principal, Mr. Jerry Wyatt, the Dorman High School Academic Team won its first national title by capturing the American Scholastic Competition Network National Tournament of Champions in Chicago, Illinois; and
Whereas, while team members Adam Herring, Jason Kopp, Terrill Wilkins, and Cale Bonner took the national crown, they received valued support and encouragement from fellow team members Tiffany Beasley, Tejas Doshi, Vedhas Doshi, Shelley Price, Jonathan Ross, Josh Arwood, Shawn Campbell, and Malcolm Neave; and
Whereas, the hard work and superlative accomplishments of the 20022003 Dorman High School Academic Team are both an inspiration and source of pride to all South Carolinians, and the team members, their parents and families, their coaches, and the faculty and staff of Dorman High School richly deserve recognition for this outstanding achievement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend the 20022003 Dorman High School Academic Team of Spartanburg County for its commitment to academic excellence and congratulate the team on winning the American Scholastic Competition Network National Tournament of Champions in Chicago, Illinois.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the 20022003 Dorman High School Academic Team.
