Become adult with your native town.
1. Introduction.The news of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi impressed a great number of people not only in our town, but in all Russia. Different people of different occupations began to think about the future of this region, about how it will have changed by 2014, about what can be done for it by the population of Sochi. We, school-leavers of 2008, will be 23-24 years old then and the main importance of receiving and welcoming the expected guests will be bestowed on us.
As Sochi is my native town, I love it and want it to become famous world resort, I began to think about what I personally can do to add to the fame of this place and to find my own path in life.
I began my study with the wonderful world of modern professions, then I got to know about the education possibilities of Sochi, about the Federal Target Programme for the development of Sochi as a mountain climate resort.
So I decided to find out the importance of making a thorough research in this field.
2. So I began my study with the World of Professions. Some of them are as old as civilization. Such as teachers, physicians, economists, historians, mathematicians, biologists and lawyers.
3. It was rather interesting for me to know a great number of new professions. I must also mention that a lot of the new words are of the English origin. For example …(наэкране)
4. I found out that young people feel the changes in the society, they understand that contemporary life needs specialists in economy, management, law, IT and foreign languages in the first 5 places.
Accordingly, institutes and universities are trying to adjust to the modern needs and establish new faculties and departments.
5. It is very good to have information about different professions and institutes, but it is not less important to know our personal features of the character, learn well different subjects at school and know your own interests, inclinations and abilities.
6. British psychologists advise young people to define the sphere of life they can be mostly useful in the following way.
Look at the circles. First, compare the jobs in Circle A with the jobs in Circle B. Which group of jobs attracts you more& you have three points to give. For example, you could give Circle A two points and Circle B one point, or you could give Circle A zero points and Circle B three points. The total must be 3. write the number of points in the boxes on the line from Circle A to Circle B. Continue in the same way so that you compare all the circles.
Add up the points for each circle. Draw a graph to show the total for each circle. Now read about the circles that you gave the highest points.
7. While thinking about the problem I studied the possibilities of getting an education in Sochi. Our institutes also prepare specialists in finance, taxation, management, law, traffic safety and so on. In order to make the information more understandable I made it in Russian. In my opinion, the professions which will be extremely popular and which can be acquired at the local institutes are … (наэкране). And these are at colleges.
8. But getting an education is only the beginning of our working career. It is very important how and where to work and be successful. For this I trued to know about the development of Sochi according to the Federal Target Programme for the Development of Sochi as a mountain resort 2006-2014.
And I understood that Sochi will need a great number of specialists in every field. Very important work is being done even now.
9. Besides, I find it useful to stress out that it is also essential to know how to find a job, to begin a working career, to adjust oneself in it and succeed in life. So I have it in the supplement. There you can get some advice how to find a job and how to succeed on the job.
10. Taking everything into consideration, I come to the conclusion that:
a) it is possible to get a good and required education in Sochi;
b) we can help our native town to develop rapidly, to become world famous summer and winter resort, because the future belongs to the young.
