  • Free-lance literary translator and conference interpreter

(Within this period – over. 10,000 hrs of simultaneous/consecutive interpreting at the conferences, panels & round tables, colloquia and seminars, organized by OSCE, EC, EU, Council of Europe, International War Crimes Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), UN and almost all the UN agencies, US State Department, USAID, ILO - Geneva, ABA/CEELI, all the sessions of the Federation of BH Constitutional Court involving intl’ judges, the sessions of BH Human Rights Chamber, ICMP-International Commission for Missing Persons, International Olympic Committee – Lausanne, the World Bank, and individual political figures and the members of the UK and Jordanian royal families, etc, statesmen and political figures.   • Reporter and writer for several Bosnian and former Yugoslav dailies, magazines and specialized reviews, including “Oslobodjenje,” “Svijet.” “Nedjelja,” “Sineast,” Macedonian independent weekly “Puls”, among others;
  • Member of the Organizing Committee of Yugoslav TV Festival;

1975 - 1988;

Member of the Organizing Committee and Deputy Director of the biennial International TV Sports Programs Festival in Portoro`, Secretary- General of TV Festival of Non-Aligned Countries held in 1980 in Herceg-Novi;

1975 -1995;

  • Member of the Eurovision Operations Group at the Moscow, Los Angeles, Calgary, Seoul and Barcelona Olympics.

MEMBERSHIP OF PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

  • Vice-President of the Association of Literary Translators and Conference Interpreters of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • The founding member of the Independent Union of Professional Journalists of B&H.

EDUCATION:

  • University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Philosophy, English Language and Literature Department, BA in English Language & Literature, Minor in Italian, graduated in 1973;
  • University of Copenhagen, Danish Studies and Language summer courses,

  • Salzburg Seminar, On the Role of Media in Crisis; The Media and the Gulf War, August 1991. Took part both as the attendee and as the lecturer on the looming crisis in the region.
